St. Patty's Day Shenanigans

Category: Boulder Blog

Post Date: Thursday, March 12, 2020

St. Patrick’s Day, one of my favorite holidays, is just around the corner! If you know St. Patrick’s Day, you know it’s the day for good beer. If you know me, you know I love good beer and if you know downtown, you know there is plenty of good beer to go around! There are a few fun shenanigans happening downtown leading up to the holiday, so start getting your green clothes and Irish accessories together!

Press Play will have Irish themed drink specials Friday through Tuesday and will have DJs on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, head over to License No. 1 for their weekly Irish acoustic session at 7pm.

Rest up on Monday because Tuesday is a full day celebration! For a midday mood booster (and free food), stop in at the Capitol One Cafe for their Irish celebration from 11am to 1pm! The real party gets started at the Bohemian Biergarten’s St. Patrick’s Day Bash with live entertainment from 4pm to 12:30am! Here’s what to expect:

  • The event kicks off at 4pm with Take Down the Door, a powerhouse Celtic band
  • Then at 6pm Celtic Step (Irish dancers) will perform.
  • At 7pm Irish Triplets will perform a traditional Irish sing-a-long.
  • To end the night, starting at 8:30pm Stomp Street Heist will be playing Irish party music!

There will also be food and drink specials during the festivities. Show up for the celebration with the added enjoyment of seeing me embarrass myself trying to sing and dance the whole night! Hope to see you there and if you are there and not wearing green, I will not hesitate to pinch you. You have been warned.
