Whether you are a daddy’s girl, a momma’s boy, or visa-versa, each parent deserves to be loved unconditionally by their children. I know it’s exhausting to show how much you care everyday of the week, that’s why there is one designated day to give them all you got. This weekend, Sunday the 17th, is Father’s Day, a day to honor the most important man in our lives.
He’s going to expect breakfast in bed. Stop by the Farmer’s Market on Saturday to get fresh farm eggs, and a huge array of veggies to make an appetizing omelet when he wakes up bright and early that Sunday. Since you are already up, there is no excuse to get out of mulching the back yard, cutting the grass, or holding a flashlight under the car.
After you’ve worked up an appetite from the tedious morning chores, head to one of the many restaurants on Pearl to sit back, relax, and enjoy the time you have together.
A Few Suggestions for different pallets:
~West End Tavern: The meaty dad
~Hapa Sushi: The classy dad
~BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery: The indecisive dad
~Pasta Jays: The big portioned dad
~The Mediterranean: The intercultural dad
~The Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant: The spicy dad
End the day by purchasing some new hiking gear from Golite, renting bikes from University Bicycles, and taking him on a casual bike ride up to Chautauqua to hike around which will tire him out till next Father’s Day.
