2026 Student Banner Project
The fourteenth annual Student Banner Project kicks off in mid-January, with 42 new lamp pole banners created by incredible young artists from Columbine Elementary School, Casey Middle School, and Boulder High School. Mediums used to create the banners range from pencil art and watercolors to collage.
This year's banner artists created their work surrounding the following theme:
Illustrating what caring for each other and friendship means to them.
We hope that you will enjoy strolling and taking a look at these banners, which span four blocks of the Pearl Street Mall. An awards reception will be held on Wednesday, April 8 at 4:30 PM on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall (near the Visitor Information Center). The banners will be on display through mid-April 2026.
The Banner Project is presented by Boulder Arts Week, Boulder’s only large-scale, inclusive celebration of our community’s vibrant arts and cultural offerings and thriving creativity, which takes place April 3 - 12, 2026.
