As you step off Pearl Street Mall at 11th street and head west toward the mountains, you'll find yourself in the West End District.

Just steps to the west of the Pearl Street Mall is the bustling and charming West End district from 11th to 8th streets. Known as a mecca for foodies, independent spirits and entrepreneurs, the West End is the place to be and to be seen. From local legends that have called the West End home for decades like Lolita’s and Pasta Jay’s to unique boutiques and international outdoor brands, this one-of-a-kind district is a great place to call home!

Did we mention how close you are to the mountains when out and about on the West End… less than a mile to be exact! Here’s just a taste of what’s waiting to be explored heading west.

Let's explore the West End...

Foodies rejoice as your taste buds are tempted with some of the most savory flavors in the West! The restaurant row on 1000 block on the north side of Pearl includes: Chef Bradford Heap’s SALT the Bistro, Hugo Matheson and Kimbal Musk’s The Kitchen. Enjoy a Boulder favorite for over three decades, Pasta Jay's.

Right around the corner on 10th Street, Edwin Zoe and his "mama" opened local favorite, Zoe Ma Ma and more recently, Dragonfly Noodle, featuring signature Pan Asian dishes inspired by mama herself. Further down the road on the West End, foodies can enjoy offerings from My Neighbor Felix.  Don't forget to stop by Jungle (on 10th Street) where Tiki shack meets burger shack!

The south side of Pearl includes: Big Red F's unbeatable trio: Centro Mexican Kitchen, Jax Fish House and West End Tavern. With the opening of Pearl West in 2016, more delectable options arrived including Bartaco and Corrida - with some of the best rooftop views in Boulder!

Never ever skip dessert!

If a sweet tooth urge kicks in, the West End has that covered with offerings from Piece, Love & ChocolateGelato Boy and Spruce Confections. And if a caffeine fix is needed, OZO Coffee Co and Trident Booksellers and Cafe brew up concoctions like no other and also provide great atmospheres for relaxing and meeting the locals.

Let's shop!

There are plenty of places to indulge in the retail scene. University Bicycles has been taking care of avid cyclists and weekend cruisers alike since the mid-80s… they also have a flying elephant that keeps the young (and young at heart) entertained! Fjällräven’s flagship retail brand center calls Pearl West home and is joined by Burton right next door.

Sisters Christie and Poss boutique Cedar & Hyde Mercantile on 11th Street is a can’t-be-missed space curated with "quality curiosities" from apparel to home and body. Make sure to check out Cedar & Hyde Home, located right next door. Nearby on the 900 block of Pearl Street, you’ll find more amazing shops including Shoe Fly, Haven and Farfel's Farm!

For a little (or a lot) of sparkle, John Atencio offers classic and bold pieces hand designed and sold in their Pearl West Showroom. Classic Facets has been providing vintage costume, premiere estate and fine jewelry for more than 30 years and has more than 20,000 pieces from consignors in 37 states and ten countries. J. Albrecht Designs Master Goldsmiths is family owned and operated and has been making custom, fine jewelry for over a decade in the West End location on Pearl Street. Just south of Pearl on 9th Street, Bohemi offers handcrafted permanent jewelry, handmade, custom and fine jewelry and Nomad Bead Merchants is known as the best bead supplier in Boulder County for over 25 years.

So much to see and do...head downtown and go West!
