THE NEW LOCAL (TNL) is an artist-founded, women-led, community-driven arts hub located in the heart of downtown Boulder. The 501(c)(3) champions local artists, designers, and makers while infusing downtown with creative culture for the broader community. Since 2023, TNL has provided a collective, juried exhibition space in the increasingly commercialized city center. Local artists share their skills with the public through classes, workshops, and community programming. TNL prioritizes outreach to underserved populations, fostering innovative arts education for everyone. That mission extends into its recurring programming through "Sundays on West Pearl" and "Downtown First Friday," where free art activities and live music foster community, downtown. Youth and adult workshops in mediums such as painting, textiles, and jewelry-making cultivate creativity and connection, year-round.
