Guess what? Spring has officially sprung and downtown is full of fun things to do as we kick off the new season!

For $95, you can take part in a mixed media workshop where you'll paint spring blossoms on a branch. Plus, you'll learn some neat watercolor techniques to create a piece you'll be proud to frame. Ready to unleash your inner artist? Get tickets now!

Easter is just around the corner (Sunday, April 20th). And lucky for all of us – there is not one, not two, but THREE fantastic brunch options right here downtown. The Post is hosting a special three-course brunch for $40 including a kids’ coloring contest - how fun is that? If you can’t make brunch, they're offering Easter dinner for $45!).

Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar will also have a special menu for the day, with brunch running from 11 AM to 3 PM. Treat yourself to some amazing eats like shareable beignets, lobster deviled eggs and crab cake eggs benedict. They will also have shrimp and grits, a Maine lobster and shrimp roll for that seafood fix, and French toast with maple butter and blueberries. This sounds like the perfect way to spend your Easter Sunday. Just a heads-up, reservations are definitely a good idea – you won't want to miss out!

And last but certainly not least, the St Julien Hotel & Spa is hosting their annual Easter buffet – think delicious food, egg hunts, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny! It's $99 for adults and $45 for kids aged 5-12.

Spring festivities don't end there! Tuesday, April 22nd is Earth Day, and downtown is showing its love for our planet with some great events. Jill’s Restaurant is hosting a special four-course vegan dinner featuring yummy local and sustainable ingredients, and they're kicking things off with a cocktail reception. You can find all the details right here! Leaf is also getting in on the Earth Day action with their own plant-based dining experience. Join them for dinner and celebrate the beauty of our Earth on this special day.

eTown is hosting a special Earth Week celebration from April 22nd to 27th. You can expect a fantastic lineup of world-class musical performances, insightful discussions and interactive community experiences, all centered around environmental awareness. This event offers a great opportunity to celebrate eTown's dedication to environmental impact and connect with others, while celebrating Earth Day!

Close up of Tulips on Pearl Street

Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 27th - it's time for the beloved Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival, a celebration of spring and the thousands of tulips blooming along the Pearl Street Mall. This is such a sweet tradition! Besides the stunning flowers, there will be live performances and tons of activities to keep the kiddos entertained all day long. Just a heads-up, the rain date for this colorful event is Sunday, May 4th, from 1-5 PM.

And for a dose of arts and culture, don't miss the "Dazzle of Darkness" Spring Exhibition at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibit runs now through Sunday, May 4th and features the work of 31 artists who are exploring the concept of darkness through all sorts of different media. Seriously, you won't want to miss this opportunity to experience such a thought-provoking exhibition!

Speaking of not wanting to miss out… don’t forget that Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11th, so it's time to start making those special plans! Treat the amazing women in your life to a memorable meal at one of downtown Boulder's finest spots. You can choose from the Hotel Boulderado’s delightful buffet, enjoy a refined experience at Spruce Farm & Fish, or opt for a more casual yet equally delicious meal at The Corner Bar. Make sure to reserve your table soon to guarantee a perfect celebration.

Spring is truly full of opportunities to get out, have fun and soak up this beautiful season right here in downtown Boulder. So come on down, join in the festivities and I hope to see you around!
