Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Downtown Boulder's events! We rely on the help of many wonderful volunteers throughout the year. We are grateful to our volunteers for your willingness to support us and our community. It's thanks to awesome volunteers like you that we are able to produce free, community events year after year.

Downtown Boulder's Fall Fest 

Friday - Sunday, October 3 - 5, 2025 | Various shifts and times each day 

Volunteer to help out at Downtown Boulder's Fall Fest while listening to music and celebrating fall with your friends. Shifts include bar servers, drink ticket seller, greeters, and more!

Munchkin Masquerade

Friday, October 31, 2025 | Various shifts and times between 12:00 - 7:30 pm 

Every year, Downtown Boulder invites children and their families to the Pearl Street Mall to trick-or-treat with local businesses and a variety of exhibitors. This year, Downtown Boulder will host a spooky haunted house on the 1400 block of the mall. Additionally, 13th & 14th Streets will be closed to traffic for extra safety. Volunteer shifts include assistance with exhibitor set-up or tear-down, haunted house prep, crossing guards, and more.

Switch on the Holidays

Sunday, November 23, 2025 | Lighting Elf or Stage Elf between 4:30 - 7:00 pm 

Kick off the holiday season with Downtown Boulder, Freezie the Snowman and Santa by joining the countdown to the grand illumination of the Boulder County Courthouse and the Pearl Street Mall. Spectators and their families are welcome to visit with Santa after the lights switch on.

St. Nick on the Bricks

Friday, November 28, 2025; Saturdays, November 29, December 6 & 13, 2025 | Various times and shifts

Kids of all ages can visit with Santa for FREE at the Downtown Boulder Visitor Information CenterHelp manage the line of people waiting to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Lights of December Parade

Saturday, December 13, 2025 | Various times and shifts 

Join us for the 38th Lights of December Parade! Volunteer to support preparations and staging for the floats created and decorated by local businesses, churches, schools, community groups and nonprofits. The grand finale includes an appearance by the jolly old man himself - Santa Claus!
