Hey, downtown!
I cannot believe that my summer internship is coming to an end and that my senior year is about to begin. Getting the opportunity to be the Downtown Boulder Partnership Marketing and Communications Intern has been an incredible experience. I am certain that the people I have met and learned from this summer will leave a lasting impact on me as I begin to carve out my future.
The DBP team is a dedicated and amazing group of people who put their all into making downtown the best it can be! Between learning to problem solve, embracing my creativity and discovering new ways around marketing and communications, I am leaving this internship with some incredibly valuable skill sets!
Over my time here I have also had the privilege to meet and engage with an amazing small business community. Every downtown community member I met was nothing but kind and inviting, and always willing to help and support me with whatever task I was working on that day. I saw first-hand how small business owners not only valued their store, but also their commitment to the downtown community as a whole.
Even though I will no longer be working at DBP, I will continue to spend nearly all of my time downtown! Whether I am shopping at Bobbles & Lace and Free People or enjoying a meal or a drink at Rosetta Hall, there is nothing that compares to Boulder’s downtown and I feel so lucky to have one more year to enjoy all of it!
Lastly, I want to thank the team at Downtown Boulder for an amazing experience - I would not change a thing. I will never forget all that they have taught me and I know I will use so much of what I have learned in my future endeavors. As I still have one more year at CU, I look forward to seeing all of you around, enjoying all that downtown has to offer!
