I love downtown so MATCHA!

Hi downtown!

I consider myself a matcha connoisseur, since matcha is one of my all time favorite drinks.  Not familiar with matcha?  I’ve got you covered!  Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder, typically mixed with a milk of your choice. Across downtown there are many options for delicious matcha that suit your flavor preferences - you may like a more lite and sweet vibe, or on the other end of the spectrum, you may prefer an earthy and rich taste. Either way, downtown has places for you to enjoy your dream matcha. I am not a coffee drinker, so matcha is my favorite source of morning caffeine that leaves me without the jitters and with a cute color in my cup!

If you are a person with a sweet tooth, then you are just like me! I love a naturally sweet matcha and I always choose almond milk, from Amante for my morning matcha. Their matcha served hot or iced and is creamy, sweet and lite, causing it to be my ultimate favorite. Located off the bricks on Walnut street!

Maybe you're not much of a sweet drink person and you like a more rich and earthy matcha, there are options for you as well! Spruce Confections over on the West End of Pearl Street is an adorable cafe. Providing indoor and outdoor seating in their quaint courtyard, this spot will make you want to stay all day. In addition to their beautiful ambiance they have a vibrant matcha, also served hot or iced, leaving you refreshed with natural flavoring.

Sometimes you aren't sure of exactly what you are in the mood for, and in that case OZO Coffee is where you should head. With a location on both the West and the East End of Pearl, if you are downtown it will always be a convenient stop. Since the matcha is naturally less sweet, I usually request some honeyt which is not as strong as syrup buta perfect addition to your matcha!

Not every matcha is everyone's cup of tea ;)which is why we are lucky to have a range of options downtown! If you try out any of my suggestions, I would love to know which is your favorite matcha from downtown.

See ya!
