Intern Bucket List: Exploring Downtown Boulder

Category: Boulder Blog

Good Day Downtown Boulder,

My intern bucket list is alive and growing, every time I check one thing off, something new gets added.

My first item on the agenda was to go to Rosetta Hall during the day. Going during the day has a totally different vibe than when I go at night. I ordered the Beef Pad See Ew from Chiang Mai. I cleared my plate in minutes, it was the perfect lunch after doing intern responsibilities. Next time I go, I’ve got my eye on their tres leches, I also spotted a pisco sour on the menu so I’ll have to raise my glass to my Peruvian side and the start of Hispanic Heritage month.

Next on my list to hit was more retail stores, I wandered into Boulder Spirits and ended up talking with Megan ( one of the owners). She told me about their jounrey from Scotland to Boulder and how they became a full time distillery. Even if whiskey's not your thing, the flights and seasonal cordials make it a fun stop. The BoulderThon is this weekend and my family will be in town. My brother- in-law who's running the marathon is a whiskey fanatic, so i am already plotting on his gift from here.

Fall Fest (Oct 3-5th) is approaching quickly and will soon be checked off my bucket list. It’s three days of food, drinks, vendors, and live music! I’ll be volunteering this year and I expect to see you all there. There's even going to be a glam bot and I’ll be bringing in my best poses. More importantly I can’t wait to see who will take the crown at the new Battle of the Bands, the lineup is amazing.

Our downtown district has unbeatable energy especially with all of the events coming up. My bucket list isn't getting any shorter but I’m not mad about it, it’s keeping me busy.

Until Next Time,

Fatima
