I know you’re all probably just as excited as I am for all of the St. Patrick’s Day festivities - green beer, bagpipes and kilts! Such an exciting time and with the luck of the Irish, it lands on a Saturday this year!
You’ll be excited to know The World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade is back this year with Boulder Beer on Walnut as its new host. It will take place outside Boulder Beer on 11th and Walnut and will go around their block starting at 3 pm. Make sure you get there early so you don’t miss it! As for other St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans? There are many Downtown restaurants, bars and venues hosting events and drink/food specials for the celebration! For a full list check out our events calendar and check back for updates periodically to stay in-the-know.
Below are just a few highlights of the exciting things happening:
The Post: The Post has some yummy Irish themed food and drinks on their menu to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! What I’m most excited about here is the corned beef and cabbage… yum! If you plan on taking advantage of these awesome deals, don’t forget to wear you green!
Boulder Theater: On St. Patrick’s Day, the Boulder Theater will be hosting Sam Bush! He is a Bluegrass mandolin player who is considered to be the originator of Newgrass. Caribou Mountain Collective will be opening so get there early! Doors open at 7 pm and show starts at 8 pm!
Also check out a ticket giveaway happening on our Instagram Story @DowntownBoulder.
The Attic: If you’re looking for an inexpensive option (like me), be sure to check out the Attic. They are having some awesome deals on snacks and drinks! You can’t beat $3 tacos and PBR Tall Boys (avail. 9pm - close on March 17th).
License No. 1: If you’re looking for something a little classier, head to License No. 1 for their Return of the Irish St. Patrick’s Day Party! Banshee Tree Swing Rock is on at 7 pm and there will be a special St. Patrick’s Day menu available all night!
Walrus Saloon: Did someone say jello shots? If you’re up to braving the college crowd, go to the Walrus for some wild deals. Green beer will be served on Friday and Saturday and Jello shots are $2 on Saturday.
Please, always remember to drink responsibly. St. Patrick’s Day is only fun if everyone gets home safely!
