Fifteen garments made from maps; celebrating notable women in Colorado’s past. Most pieces were crafted from paper and fiber in the late summer of 2026. This was a deep dive into the women who came before us, who built the clubs, the libraries, the societal connections we enjoy today. They were pioneering, record breaking, brave and persistent people. Even with all the constraints, patriarchal conditioning and barriers put in their way, these individuals strode forth into their lives with creativity, strength and courage. I have included little remembrances of my childhood too - in order to give you a glimpse of Boulder from the past. In addition to the exhibition, please enjoy a free paper fashions class on Oct 1 (register online) and a meet-the-artist reception on Oct 2, all at the Boulder Public Library.
