Join popular Boulder artist Linda Faul in person at Ana's Art Gallery Friday, Aug. 23, for an opening showcasing new and past work, including "Grazing in the Aspens." Faul is a powerful colorist who combines realism with a touch of fantasy. Her beautiful mountain scenes incorporate bright colors into landscapes that evoke Colorado's varying terrain and moods. Faul is known for her "Buffalo paintings," in which oil, acrylic and mineral spirits are layered to create a dreamlike image sought after by collectors. Free; 5-8 p.m. 1101 Spruce St. (303) 997-5346.
