A Public Statement from the Boulder Community: We stand united in condemning acts of antisemitism, hate and violence and are committed to bridging differences through collaboration, empathy and our shared humanity. Sunday, June 1st's attack on a peaceful vigil in the heart of our community is not only a vile assault on our Jewish community—it is an attack on us all. Cabin Music returns to the Dairy with an immersive solo piano concert with James Carson. Be prepared to leave your seat and enter into a deep exploration of new ways to make music, and even what music can be.
Cabin Music is pianist and filmmaker James Carson’s two-decade effort to transform the way in which music is created. Drawing on his years building and practicing in an isolated strawbale cabin, Carson’s performances remove his own intentions by receiving and channeling all forces and energies within and beyond the performance space. His award-winning feature documentary debut, Cabin Music, initiates audiences into the project’s global origins. The results generate profound experiences hailed as “meditative” (Time Out New York), “shimmering” (Feast of Music), “intensely beautiful” (Mystery Catalog), and “sublime” (The Independent Critic), that transport audiences “to the stratosphere” (Berkshire Fine Arts), through “delicate music surrounded by the aura of silence” (Boston Phoenix).

For those who want to see the film before the concert, there will be a free screening at 3pm in the Gordon Gamm Theater.
