Join us for ENCORE! on Saturday, September 19, as we celebrate Boulder’s rich musical history while raising critical support for the Museum of Boulder’s next major exhibition, Boulder Mixtape: Local, Live, and Loud, as well as future exhibits and community programming.
Hosted at the Limelight Hotel, ENCORE! promises to be one of the most entertaining, and meaningful, nights of the year. Part gala, part concert, and part community celebration, the evening begins with a lively cocktail reception accompanied by one of the Boulder Philharmonic‘s acclaimed string quartets performing fresh arrangements of contemporary favorites, the perfect prelude to a night honoring the music that has shaped Boulder for generations.
Guests will then enjoy a seated dinner and an unforgettable program featuring the newly formed Boulder All Star Band, with an extraordinary lineup of local musicians:
Robert Johnson – vocals
Mark Diamond – upright bass
John Gunther – woodwinds
Victor Mestas – keyboard
Paul Romaine – percussion
With special guest performances by David Fulker (trumpet) and MaryLynn Gillaspie (vocals).
The evening will also feature the premiere of a short film produced by John Mans, exploring Boulder’s rich and often surprising musical history – from legendary venues and beloved local artists to the creative spirit that continues to shape the city’s vibrant cultural landscape today.
