"On November 15, Jake Xerxes Fussell and Meg Lui join us for a live eTown taping.
Jake takes folk songs passed down over generations and finds something fresh in them. His new album, The Old Beloved Path, came out September 18. NPR’s Ann Powers has called him “maybe the leading interpreter of American folk music right now,” while The New Yorker, The Guardian and Pitchfork have all praised his singular approach to the tradition.
Meg’s debut album, Instant Validation, just arrived on Asthmatic Kitty Records and was produced by Sufjan Stevens. Her songs draw on the odd, personal details of modern life, with moments of humor and surprise."
