Fall Curiosity Concert: The Creative Spirit
On Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a ghostly composer reunites with a lifelong friend and music partner for the world premiere of their final creation, only to discover the song is incomplete. With time slipping away and the audience's help, they must finish the song together and perform it before the ghost composer departs again. Some of the familiar (and new!) tunes you'll hear in this original program include: Beethoven's 7th Symphony, Imagine Dragon's "Follow You," Arturo Márquez's "Dánzon No. 2," and "La Llorona," among many more!
The program is 45 minutes long and will feature the Niwot High School Mariachi Ensemble and Longmont Youth Symphony playing side by side the Boulder Symphony for portions of the concert. There will be an instrument petting zoo for 30 minutes after the concert for kids to try some instruments, and costumes are encouraged!
