Sessa Takuma Japanese Flower Exhibition

Sessa Takuma 切磋琢磨 “Polish stone to bring out natural beauty”.

We invite you to come and enjoy this celebration of Japanese Flower Arrangements on October 4 and 5. The Japanese yojijukugo (idiom) Sessa Takuma means to improve by polishing each other to bring out your natural beauty and encourage each other. Focus on the community of ideas we share through flowers so we can learn and grow. Over 50 beautiful ikebana creations will highlight the season and inspire you in the Canyon Gallery. Also featured on display will be Edo Period Scrolls and Art works from Japan. All events are Free including the movie presentation.

Join us on Friday Evening, October 3, at 5:30 pm for a special screening of the movie Hana Ikusa (Flower and Sword) with English Subtitles in the Auditorium.

Saturday, October 4, at 2:00 PM will be an ikebana demonstration followed by a tea ceremony gathering at 3:00 PM.

Sunday, October 5, at 2:00 PM Encore presentation of the Hana Ikusa Movie.
