Details
Local congregations will come together for a Palm Sunday unified in holy and joyful disruption on Sunday, March 29, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Pine Street, between 14th and 15th.
Trinity Lutheran Church of Boulder, St. John's Episcopal Church, Pine Street Church, First Congregational United Church of Christ, and First United Methodist Church of Boulder invite the community to join them for a collaborative outdoor worship service, featuring a shared liturgy, choral music, and the symbolic blessing of palms.
Following the 9:30 a.m. service, all are welcome to take part in a public procession through downtown - palms will be available, and all are encouraged to bring signs and accessories to show a spirit of unity, joy, and holy disruption. The group will move from Pine Street to Pearl Street Mall and the courthouse, where participants will pause for music. From there, the procession will continue west along Pearl Street to Broadway, head north on Broadway, and then return east along Pine Street. As the procession passes each participating church, congregants will peel off to continue worship within their own communities.
This annual gathering reflects a shared commitment to worship, justice, and community engagement during one of the holiest weeks of the Christian year. Organizers invite all members of the public to attend, participate, and bear witness together.
