The Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit returns on June 5, 2025, and CU Boulder is proud to host a regional plenary featuring speakers who are leading the charge toward climate justice—including Indigenous youth advocates, scientists and student storytellers.

Our speakers include: 

  • Sheila Watt-Cloutier (Citizen Advocate on Environmental, Cultural and Human Rights, Author and Speaker)
  • Naia Ormaza Zulueta (Environmental Studies PhD Candidate)
  • John Ecklu (Global Engineering PhD Candidate)
  • Amanda Carrico (Associate Professor of Environmental Studies, Associate Chair of Graduate Studies)

We are honored to have the day’s discussion moderated by Lakshmi Singh of National Public Radio (NPR). 

In the evening, attendees are invited back to eTown Hall for a reception and performance by local bluegrass band the Solar Sisters.   

Morning session: 9-11 AM & Evening session with reception & musical performance: 5-7 PM.
