Location: Museum of Boulder, 2205 Broadway, Boulder, CO

Campers will join a Street Wise artist to design and install an Art & Activism themed mural of their choice on the museum grounds. Students will learn the ins and outs of creating a mural, discuss how and why we create work for the public, large scale, outdoors, and Art & Activism. Students will learn to collaborate on a large-scale group project. Students will learn how to prep and transfer the design to the wall, and help the artist paint the mural.

Our mission is to create mural projects, community events, and youth education programs that enhance the urban environment, amplify diversity, and engage people in activism and dialogue. Our core values are advocating for equity and representation for artists, building cross-sector collaborations, and contributing to a diverse cultural landscape. Street Wise has installed over 165 murals around Boulder through their mural festivals and programs and served over 1500 students through their arts education programs.
