$175/child, all materials included.

Your pre-teen/teen will spend two mornings immersed in art + nature as they experience the magic of creating their own cyanotype art. We will be making sun prints with leaves and other nature items that your teen gathers and collects at a nearby park. Your teen is also welcome to bring objects from home to use in this alternative photographic process. Your teen will apply the non-toxic, photo-sensitive emulsion in a dark room, expose their print to the light outside, and then experiment with fun ways to alter their print with eco-friendly and non-toxic substances like coffee, vinegar, salt, soda ash and dish soap. We will work with both wet and dry cyanotype techniques as well as introduce various toning agents into the process allowing for a wide range of variability in the final piece.

Your teen will bring home multiple original art pieces on watercolor paper that will be ready to frame and display!
