The Colorado Sound announces the 3rd annual Colorado Sound Music Awards!

The CSMAs encourages the station’s listeners to support a wide range of artists from around the state by voting in five unique categories.

Following last year’s debut live event, the CSMAs are coming back to the Boulder Theater where winners will be announced and presented with their awards on September 18. The ceremony will feature performances from three outstanding Colorado artists, including Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd & the Monsters performing a solo acoustic set; Alysia Kraft, last year’s CSMA winner for Outstanding Stage Presence; and Ritmo Cascabel, who blend cumbia, western and rock & roll.

“Last year’s Colorado Sound Music Awards were amazing, and this year we’re making them bigger and better” says Program Director Margot Chobanian. “It’s a great night to celebrate the breadth and diversity of talent of Colorado musicians with artists and music lovers together in one place, and it will be even more special with Todd Park Mohr’s solo acoustic performance.”

Listeners can vote now on the Colorado Sound website (coloradosound.org) for their favorite artists/bands in five categories:

On the Rise
Colorado Spirit
Outstanding Stage Presence
Outstanding ‘Secret Ingredient’
Colorado Artist You’d Drive 105.5 Miles to See
Voting is open now and runs through August 18.

The award ceremony will take place September 18. It is open to the public, and tickets go on sale June 14.

More information, including names and descriptions of all Colorado Sound Music Award nominees, a link to purchase award show tickets, and a list of last year’s winners, is available on the station website: coloradosound.org
