2021 Student Banner Project
The ninth annual Student Banner Project kicks launched this February, with 42 new lamp pole banners created by incredible young artists from Columbine Elementary School, Casey Middle School, and Boulder High School. This year's banner artists created their work according to the theme How We See Community, which reflects the challenges young people faced this year in a remote-learning world and honors the resilience of our Boulder community. We hope you will take a look at the banners, which span four blocks of the Pearl Street Mall, and glean inspiration from their messages of hope and encouragement.
The Banner Project is presented by Boulder Arts Week, Boulder’s only large-scale, inclusive celebration of our community’s vibrant arts and cultural offerings and thriving creativity, which took place March 26 - April 3, 2021. The banners are on display now through April 28th, 2021. Stop by the Downtown Boulder Visitor Information Center at 13th & Pearl for a map of all banner locations, or simply view the map below.
Congrats to Alana Maness, Boulder High Student, and winning artist of this year's "People's Choice Award."
