Please note that if you are in possession of a Downtown Boulder Gift Card (with green background), the card was purchased prior to switching over to a new gift card agreement with our vendor.  These cards include a maintenance fee that goes into affect when a card is inactive for 12 consecutive months.  The purchaser of the gift card agreed to these terms and conditions prior to purchasing the card.  On this page, you will find terms and conditions specific to the green background gift card (purchased prior to December 2, 2019).

Remember

Unless prohibited by law, a $3.00 maintenance fee will be deducted monthly from the card balance starting on the first day after a one-year period of inactivity. Activity means any action resulting in an increase or decrease in the card balance, other than the imposition of a fee, or an adjustment due to an error or reversal of a prior transaction. Unless prohibited by law, if a replacement Card is issued for a lost, stolen or damaged card, a $5.00 Replacement Card Fee per card will be charged. Not redeemable for cash or credit except as stated in the Card Agreement. Purchase, acceptance or use of Card constitutes acceptance of Card Agreement.  The Downtown Boulder Gift Card is issued by Pathward, N.A., Member FDIC.

Frequently Asked Questions

DOES THE GIFT CARD EVER EXPIRE?

 The card funds do not expire but the card plastic does. The physical card has expiration date clearly printed on the back of the card (Valid Thru), in addition, if the card is inactive for 12 consecutive months, a $3 maintenance fee for every month of inactivity starting on the 13th month from the date of purchase will be taken away from the card balance. A simple remedy: use your card once a year for a small purchase until you are ready to use more of your balance.

HOW DOES THE CARD WORK?

To use the card, select the credit option for purchases at participating merchants.

Please note: If you make a purchase greater than the amount on the gift card, ask the merchant to take your other form of payment (for the difference) first. If the merchant tries to run the gift card first, it will be ‘rejected’ because it will only accept up to the amount loaded on the gift card. It is your responsibility to track the balance, but you can check your card balance at anytime.
