Downtown Boulder Partnership's Five Year Vision Plan nominated for a Downtown Colorado, Inc. Colorado Downtown Excellence Award
[Boulder, CO] March 7, 2024 - Downtown Boulder Partnership's 2022 Five Year Vision Plan has received a nomination in the category of Outstanding Dynamic Partnership for Downtown Colorado, Inc.'s (DCI) Colorado Downtown Excellence Awards. The Partnership award category recognizes excellence in commitment to collaborating partnerships that encourage and foster knowledge, awareness, support of initiatives and other stakeholders within the local community. Downtown Boulder Partnership (DBP) is honored to share this nomination with consulting firm MIG, the City of Boulder and all of the residents, visitors, community partners, boards of directors and staff who participated in the Vision Plan's formation through community collaboration.
DCI hosts the annual Colorado Downtown Excellence Awards to recognize and celebrate excellence in Colorado downtowns and commercial districts. The awards aim to honor organizations and individuals who have achieved remarkable success, demonstrated innovation, and made a positive impact in their respective communities with the hope that sharing these success stories inspires others to strive for excellence, set new benchmarks and foster a culture of excellence. In 2024, Downtown Colorado, Inc. and 9News will be presenting the Colorado Downtown Excellence Awards at the annual In The Game conference which will be held in Durango from April 2 - 5, 2024. The awards ceremony will take place on April 4, 2024 at which time the winners will be announced.
Previously, Downtown Boulder Partnership's Taste of Pearl was recognized with a Colorado Downtown Excellence Award for Outstanding Event in 2011 and DBP's Vice President of Marketing and Communications Terri Takata-Smith was presented with the Colorado Downtown Excellence Award's Vicki Mattox Downtowner of the Year in 2021 as recognition for her statewide-leadership and support within Colorado's downtown districts through the COVID-19 pandemic response.

About Downtown Boulder Business Improvement District
The Downtown Boulder Business Improvement District (BID) is a quasi-municipal corporation and political subdivision of the State of Colorado formed in 1999 and encompassing a 49-block taxing district approved by property owners to cultivate a cleaner, safer and more vibrant downtown community. The tax revenue is used by the BID to provide maintenance services that supplement those provided by the City of Boulder and to provide a comprehensive consumer marketing program. Maintenance services for the BID include but are not limited to trash removal and graffiti removal. The marketing and promotion of the district to both consumers and investor markets includes advertising, branding, banners, brochures, printed collateral materials, newsletters, public relations, social media, online efforts and market research. The BID funds economic vitality efforts including market research, tenant recruitment for both retail and office and support services for small businesses and educates the public on the value of shopping local to support small businesses and community.
