One thing that I love about working for the Downtown Boulder Partnership is how much time I get to spend exploring the downtown district. From incredible events I have gotten to be a part of to yummy lunch spots and cute new shops, there is always something new to check out. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to share my “insider scoop” to help you get the most out of the district!
So, I’m back this week to report my new findings! Downtown Boulder offers a wide variety of classes and courses for you to try out. From baking to crafts and yoga, join me and try out something new this month!
Need a healthy way to relax after a long week? Check out Yoga Pearl - downtown’s very own yoga studio. Their team prides themselves on the ability to teach the art of slowing down. Classes include the opportunity to experience a mind-body connection that will help you to regain peace and control in your daily life. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, Yoga Pearl has a class for you.
It’s time to get your creative juices flowing with culinary classes at Food Lab! All classes are three hours long and make for the perfect date night or activity with family and friends. Food Lab is not just for the adults! They offer various kids’ classes, including an 8-week after-school series. Food Lab also offers team-building classes to bond with co-workers over cooking and baking. No matter the occasion, head in to try your hand at a new culinary skill!
Colorado Glass Works is your one-stop-shop for a variety of glass artwork classes! With weekly sessions as well as one-time studio sessions, you have the chance to learn how to design and create your very own stained glass masterpiece. With all materials supplied, this is the perfect place to learn a new skill and get crafty!
The New Local, a working gallery known for their creative space, offers a wide variety of artistic workshops for adults and teens! Even kids can check out things like clay building, weaving colors, watercolor and a fairytale forest art class. Adult and teen classes include cyanotype workshops, watercolor landscape classes, ceramics, tapestry weaving, pearl knotting, writing courses and so much more. Hawaii Fluid Art is not like any other painting class you may have tried before! Experiment with different pigments of paint and mediums while learning about the experimental fluid art style. With certified instructors, you will be able to learn how to create beautiful pieces of resin art, fluid art and more at their downtown location!
Head into Color Me Mine for a paint-it-yourself ceramic experience! This is the perfect spot to go on a date, a fun family activity or just an occasion to treat yourself! You can even grab a to-go kit to paint at home!
Two Hands Paperie, a gorgeous store with stationery, unique gifts, and art supplies, is hosting fall classes taught by professional artists! These unique art classes include drawing and meditation, letter pressing, watercolor, embroidery, visual journaling, and so many more. No experience is required! Treat yourself to a day of relaxing and enjoying a new artistic experience. Be sure to check out their full list of classes.
Are you a dessert lover and want to learn how to make things like macaroons, truffles and souffles? Head into Piece, Love & Chocolate! They are now offering private chocolate and truffle baking classes for you and your friends!
