Celebrate July's National Days

Hey, downtown Boulder! 

It’s almost the end of July, which is insane! I feel like the month went by in the blink of an eye. Plan some fun activities to do in downtown Boulder as you wait for August’s arrival by celebrating some upcoming “national days”.

July 24 - National Tequila  Day

Luckily, this national day lands right before the weekend! Visit Illegal Pete’s on Pearl for a margarita and treat yourself to a well-deserved happy hour. Their margs are the perfect way to cool off during the summer. Get one for yourself or a 32oz pitcher to share with friends.

July 25 -  National Wine and Cheese Day

There’s no better way to celebrate this national day than by taking a trip to Creature Comforts Cafe. Along with coffee and beer, the cafe serves wine all day, offering everything from sparkling, white, rosé, and red to refreshing wine spritzes. Pair your drink with a charcuterie board while catching up with friends or settle in to get some work done in the cozy space.

Another great option is Postino WineCafe! Known for its extensive wine selection and affordable prices, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine with friends. Choose from a variety of cheeses, bruschetta, and charcuterie boards to create the ultimate wine-and-cheese pairing. You could check out Silver Vines Winery and Gemini!

July 28 - National Milk Chocolate Day 

It’s the perfect day for those of you with a sweet tooth! If you’re a chocoholic, visit Piece, Love & Chocolate and explore their world-class selection. They even offer gift baskets for anyone in your life who shares the same love for chocolate. You’ll also find some awesome treats at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Rocket Fizz.

A newer addition to downtown Boulder is chocolate + cashmere, they offer fresh chocolate bonbons made daily. Their chocolates are so delicious and amazing to look at. Their vibrant colors and creative designs really make it hard to stay away from the store! Plus, you can take a look at their beautiful cashmere knits 

July 29 - National Chicken Wing Day AND National Lasagna Day 

I know what I’ll be doing July 29! I love some good chicken wings and The Post has some delicious wings tossed in your choice of house sauce with their homemade ranch or blue cheese. I personally love a classic buffalo sauce, but you can choose from Nashville Hot, Herb Ranch, Maytag Blue Cheese, and many more sauces. 

Pasta Jay’s is the perfect place to go eat on National Lasagna Day, not only because they serve the dish, but also because it lands perfectly on their Lasagna Night! On Wednesdays, they offer their specialty lasagna with a side of garlic bread for only $22.

Whether you’re celebrating with a refreshing drink or some delicious wings, these national days are the perfect excuse to explore different food options that downtown Boulder offers. Grab some friends and try something new!
