Pair that with delicious takeout from one of my go-tos Illegal Petes, Sweetgreen, Postino WineCafe, or Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar, and it will make for the perfect date!
The most classic summer date has got to be stopping for a frozen treat! Lucky for you, downtown has some of the sweetest spots. If you're looking for a unique twist, check out Gelato Boy's unique flavors and specialty waffle, brownie, and cookie sandwich options. If you prefer iconic choices, head to the bricks and treat yourself to the beloved Ben and Jerry's or Häagen Dazs from Lindsay's Boulder Deli. There is no better solution than ice cream to cool down, in the summer!
One of my favorite things to experience is live music. If you share this interest, downtown offers a variety of options. Every Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 9:00 pm until July 31st, local artists will be performing downtown at Bands on the Bricks. If weekdays are hectic for you, another excellent option for live music this summer is the Boulder Theater, where they are always hosting incredible artists. Check out their calendar and pick you and your date’s favorites.
