Gobble 'til ya Wobble! (Last Minute Thanksgiving Plans)

I am more than ready to return home to Texas for Thanksgiving and relax with my family. Since I won’t get to experience all the exciting things happening around Boulder this Thanksgiving I am happy to share them with you! Thanksgiving is a great holiday because as long as there’s good food, everyone ends up in a GOOD mood! And as you know, there is no shortage of incredible food downtown.

Alfalfa’s Market is offering pre-made Thanksgiving meals. Their menu has a variety of plant-based and gluten-free options, which is great to accommodate everyone in your family! Their meal package options include: traditional turkey, holiday ham, holiday rib or a vegan dinner. Each option comes with sides including their ginger apple cranberry sauce, fig glazed roasted winter vegetables, mashed potatoes and more. They also offer dinner rolls, pumpkin holiday logs for dessert and an array of party platters. This sounds like a delicious spread to me!

Dish Gourmet also has pick-up Thanksgiving meals. Their Thanksgiving feast includes a roasted, carved all-natural Mary’s turkey, cornbread, cranberry sauce and gravy. Then you can select sides like their munson’s farm butternut squash soup, garlic mashed potatoes and traditional stuffing. And for a sweet finish they offer pies from Shamane’s Bake Shoppe with flavors like pumpkin and chocolate pecan.Their deadline is this Friday, November 20, so be sure to get your orders in soon!

Aside from a pre-planned meal there are some really great options… If traditional turkey isn’t your thing, Jaipur Indian Restaurant, Kasa Japanese Grill and Spruce Farm & Fish to name a few will all be open with their regular menus. The Kitchen is taking reservations for their Thanksgiving meal. Their pre-fixed menu includes a welcome plate, roasted turkey, roasted delicata squash, chestnut and roasted mushroom dressing, dinner rolls, brussel sprouts, roasted sweet potatoes. And for dessert they have dutch apple pie and pumpkin cheesecake. So yummy!

I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and have the chance to acknowledge all the things we have to be grateful for! It is truly a blessing to live (or visit) somewhere as beautiful as Boulder, Colorado and to get to spend a day with your loved ones!

Happy Eating!
