A crowd of people on the mall in various Halloween costumes

Hey Downtown!

As many of us know, this week contains numerous events that culminate on Sunday with a few tricks and a lot of treats! From Munchkin Masquerade to a Speakeasy Halloween party, there are many events happening this weekend to dress up and enjoy a few nights of ghoulish fun.

If you’re looking for a classic Boulder staple geared toward families with lots of treats and fun for the kids, look no further! Munchkin Masquerade is this Sunday, October 31, from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Participating businesses within the downtown district will be handing out candy to children 10 and under! Be sure to remind your munchkins to say ‘thanks’ to these businesses who provide all of the treats themselves. Make sure to check out the Munchkin Masquerade website to get more information on participating businesses. If you want to steer clear of crowds on Sunday, there is an alternative! The Harvest Scavenger Hunt kicks off on November 1. It’s a great way to explore downtown and grab some goodies along the way!

Want a celebration tailored more for adults? Boulder businesses have you covered. R Gallery & Art Bar is hosting a Halloween Party on Friday, October 29, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Come in costume and make sure to bring your vaccination card to enter. Masks aren’t required on the Art Bar side, but they are required in the main gallery. License No. 1 is holding a Speakeasy Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, October 30, from 5 pm - until close. Make sure to wear a costume, bring friends and enjoy some music with yummy food and drinks! Supermoon is hosting a Dreamer’s Delight Zodiac Halloween Party on Friday, October 29, from 9:00 pm - 2:00 am. Check out their website for tickets and what to expect! Yoga Pearl is hosting a Costume Party Flow on Friday, October 29, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Get ready to get your flow on and then go to Supermoon for drinks in your costume after!

If you’re 21+, check out events from The Riverside. Exotica Erotica Ball happens on Sunday, October 31, from 9:00 pm - 2:00 am. It is an adult themed party, so be warned. If you decide to go, you’re in for a night of music and provocative live entertainment!

Please remember that if you’re going to an indoor event to follow local health guidelines. You can visit our Visit Safe page for more details. It’s important to keep yourself and others happy and healthy as we approach the holiday season!

What’s your favorite Halloween costume? I’d love to know! My favorite one that I’ve done personally has to be the Joker from Suicide Squad and the best costume I’ve seen downtown was in 2016 of a college student dressed as Eleven from Stranger Things (they even had a box of Eggos’)! Email me at intern@downtownboulder.org and tell me all about it.

Until next time,

Cash
