Hi downtown Boulder!
My name is Bella Goodson, and I'm beyond excited to be joining the Downtown Boulder Partnership this fall as the 2026 Marketing and Communications intern! I am a senior at CU, where I major in journalism and minor in photography. I'm also a proud Colorado native. I was born and raised in Denver but spent my last few years before college living in Pueblo, Colorado.
I'll never forget my first time coming to Boulder as a kid to watch an Ironman race and being so charmed that I knew I'd never want to leave. Luckily, as I wrap up my final year of college here, it's safe to say that charm remained true. I love music, art, fashion, working out, and a good coffee shop.
Going to college, let alone a major university, wasn't always an opportunity I envisioned for myself. Choosing CU allowed me to stay in colorful Colorado, where I would further my education, make lifelong friends, watch Ralphie run at football games, and become the person i've always dreamed of becoming.
Downtown Boulder has become such a big part of my story these past few years. I remember coming in as a freshman, being so confused about where to go and what to do. Now, I can say I've learned so much about the place I call home. What keeps me coming back to downtown Boulder (as I'm sure for many others as well) is that there's never a dull moment. There's always somewhere to go or something to see; above all, the sense of community and culture is so strong.
Although I grew up not too far from Boulder, there still so much I’m eager to try out. I’m thrilled to meet new people and gain all the new skills through my time interning and carry them into my career post graduation.
I’m also excited to be writing blogs and creating content for downtown Boulder! = I love photography and getting to tell stories through a photographic lens! I tend to bring an artistic outlook to a lot of what I do. I've been working primarily with black and white film throughout my photographic studies so I'm excited to get to photograph the bright colors of downtown! As a girl who always loves a good coffee and a new outfit, this fall you'll be able to find me shopping around at Apocalypse with a latte from my favorite OZO Coffee!
