Hi Downtown!
My name is Rebecca Cordingley, and I am the summer Downtown Boulder Partnership (DBP) Marketing and Communications Intern. I am so excited to be here and fill you in on all the places to shop, foods to eat and experiences to have in the downtown district!
I grew up in Houston, Texas but have previously lived in both Malaysia and China! I’m heading into my senior year at the University of Colorado Boulder in the fall and will be graduating with a major in advertising and a minor in sociology. I have lots of passion for photography and design and really enjoy pursuing creative projects in my free time.
I fell in love with Colorado ever since my older brother attended CU Boulder and I came to visit. I have cherished my time here over the past three years and couldn’t imagine calling anywhere else home. I spend the majority of my time exploring Boulder’s beautiful trails in the summer and Colorado’s slopes in the winter! My favorite summer activity includes taking my roommate’s dog on a morning walk at the Blueberry Mesa Trail at Chautauqua Park. I also love making the trip up to Winter Park for a ski day with friends.
When I’m not spending time outdoors, you can find me at many spots downtown enjoying meals with friends, shopping or getting some work done at a coffee shop. My go-to dinner spots include bartaco and Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar as they tend to bring in some familiar faces from the university on weekend evenings. For a quiet coffee shop, check out OZO Coffee Company! This is a great spot to relax and get some work done. I always order their Honey Lavender London Fog tea, it is so refreshing!
I can’t wait to bring you along on my journey this summer. Be sure to stick around as we continue to discover more about all of the incredible local businesses and unique experiences downtown Boulder has to offer.
More to come!
Rebecca
