Recapping Fall Fest (Intern POV)

Category: Boulder Blog

Good Day Downtown Boulder!

This year’s Fall Fest was so much fun! Between volunteering, dancing and finally feeling the crisp fall air, I don’t think anything could have made it better. The music was unbeatable. My personal favorite was Ritmo Cascabel. Their Cumbia set had me dancing away on the bricks and from the volunteer booth. It was great to see so many people enjoying the food and vendors. At Downtown Boulder Partnership, we all work hard to make sure the community can have fun and enjoy these kinds of events, so it’s great to see all the smiles and laughs during the festival.

My mom even came to visit me while I was volunteering and brought me some food (she’s the best) to snack on while I was selling drinks away. I may have forced her to join me dancing on the bricks but her full time smile reassured me she was having a great time.

The glambot from Huntington Bank was another highlight for me. It gave me the chance to live out my red carpet dreams. I don’t know if my glambot video was serving iconic Ariana Grande 2020 glambot or more awkward glambot. Either way it was definitely more of a strike a pose and hope for the best situation since I am mildly awkward posing in front of strangers (typical).

Of course, no Fall Fest is complete without face painting and a sticky gooey caramel apple from one of the vendors. I fully felt like I traveled back in time to being a young girl again.

I’ve always attended Fall Fest with my family when I was younger but this year was so much more fun since I got to volunteer. I got to meet some great fellow volunteers and share moments with the community. The music, ambiance and people were amazing. I already can’t wait for the next big event!

Until next time,
