Springing into Action!

Category: Boulder Blog

Hey downtown,

My name is Frankie Patton, and I’m more than excited to introduce myself as the spring Marketing and Communications Intern for the Downtown Boulder Partnership. Over the next few months, I am eager to dive into all that downtown Boulder has to offer and get to know the community even better!

I grew up in Georgia and am currently a senior at the University of Colorado Boulder. This May, I’ll be graduating with a degree in journalism and a minor in business. My favorite part about my major has been the opportunity to tell people’s stories - especially through multimedia projects including photography and video production.

Although moving  to Boulder for school was out of the blue, it was easily the best decision I’ve ever made. I love spending time outdoors and exploring the beautiful hiking trails that Colorado has to offer. One of my favorite spots is Chautauqua, it’s close by and I am always amazed by the views. What truly makes Boulder special to me is the wonderful community of people who call it home.

Pearl Street is another favorite one of my spots. I love decorating my space with unique posters and artwork, so I often find myself browsing at Art Source International. When it comes to dining, my go-to restaurant with a cozy vibe and delicious comfort food is River and Woods. Whether my parents are visiting or there’s a special occasion to celebrate, it’s always my top recommendation. You can also find me checking out books at the Boulder Public Library District which is super convenient to find fun new stories to read in my free time.

I’m so excited to explore new places and experience everything downtown Boulder has to offer. I can’t wait to make the most of my time here before I graduate!

See you soon,

Frankie
