Lija Fisher will speak about and sign her new book, "The Extraordinary Adventures of the Ordinary Barney Flarff," on Wednesday, June 24th at 6:30pm, at Boulder Bookstore. This is a FREE kid's event, but registration is required. Register on Eventbrite.
About the Book:
Barney Flarff is an ordinary thirteen-year-old without a heroic bone in his body. He even suspects he was born without muscles, though his doctor assures him he has plenty. The only thing he's good at is reading books. The more adventurous, the better. But when Barney is sucked into the pages of a mysterious novel, he quickly discovers the only way back home is to become the hero and finish the quest, which will be tough, since Barney runs at the first whiff of danger. But if he doesn't find his bravery and learn how to fight, he'll be stuck forever in the dark and dismal Inkworld.
Follow Barney on his extraordinary adventures as he navigates terrifying swamps, chats with kinda scary ghosts, and runs from all sorts of creatures, including some Particularly Green Goblins, who really are particularly green.
