Michael Leccese will speak about and sign his new book, "First Draft," on Wednesday, March 25th at 6:30pm, at Boulder Bookstore. Tickets for this event are $5 (plus a small processing fee) and are available on Eventbrite.
About the Book:
Just out of college during the post-Vietnam malaise, Mitch Manzello dreams of becoming a professor. When his parents pass on paying for grad school, he takes a placeholder job as a cub reporter. He gets stuck writing puff pieces while nursing his purple AMC Marlin through an unusually snowy winter just below the Mason-Dixon Line.
Then Mitch stumbles onto a career-making story that could topple the region’s most powerful figures. Stymied in romance, culturally adrift in the “Shallow South,” and at times ethically challenged, Mitch races to break the scandal against legal threats and his troubled paper’s shut down.
