Hey Downtown,

Looking for some date night ideas? Ready to have a night out with your someone special? Well, you’re in luck because I have some ideas for everything from comedy shows and music to yoga and more.

On Friday night, you can indulge in music at the Hotel Boulderado, learn to cook something new and enjoy food at Food Lab or relax and stretch out the hard week with yoga and dinner with Yoga Pearl! Check out DJ Night with DJ Elf at License No. 1. Stop by to enjoy funky and soulful tracks and unwind with a classic cocktail from the hard week. There will also be smooth Friday Night Jazz held in the lobby from 5pm - 8pm. Enjoy the live music with food, cocktails and good conversation! Looking for something more hands on? Food Lab is hosting ‘Date Night Argentina’. Learn how to make Poblano and Black Bean Empanadas, Salsa Roja, Pan-Seared Flank Steak and Chimichurri and then enjoy your efforts. To top it all off, Yoga Pearl is hosting a Supermoon night with yoga and dinner! Who can say no to that? After the class, walk over with everyone to Supermoon to enjoy drinks and yummy food. Make sure to check online to see if there are still spots available so that you don’t miss it!

Can’t make date night happen tonight? No worries! Food Lab hosts frequent events centered around different cuisines nearly every night of the week. Currently, Boulder County Restaurant Week, hosted by First Bite, is running until October 17th. Indulge in everything from drinks to food with chef-curated Pre-Fixed Menus from some of downtown's best including Ash'Kara, Bohemian Biergarten, Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse and more for $39/person. I love dessert on a date night and Piece, Love & Chocolate can solve that! They have classes if that’s what you’re looking for on your night out or they have hot and cold chocolate drinks, truffles, cake and more sweet treats. Check out the Downtown Boulder events calendar for even more inspiration!

Here are a few other fun options to consider...  Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant has great food and drinks for everyone to enjoy and if it’s a nice evening, their rooftop deck is a perfect setting for a margarita after a work week. If you’re looking for late night eats, see what’s happening at OAK at Fourteenth, Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar and Bohemian Biergarten. If you want something contemporary, try Frank’s Chophouse, Steakhouse No. 316 or Spruce Farm & Fish. Want even more options? Check out our dining listings and find something to create a perfect night on the town for any occasion!

Three plates of sushi sit on a bar. One plate on the left is a roll with shrimp on top, the middle plate has a roll, four pieces of nigiri, the right plate has a roll.

I hope these give you some ideas on how to unwind, relax and enjoy a night out with your someone special. Whether you want to just enjoy food or take a class and learn new skills, enjoy an evening in our beautiful downtown district! Have any cool experiences you've had while downtown on a date? I'd love to hear about it, email me at intern@downtownboulder.org!

Until next time,

Cash
