Halloween Downtown!

Category: Boulder Blog

Good Day Downtown Boulder!

There is something in the air when the end of October arrives. It’s the time of the season for Downtown Boulder to come alive with ghosts and goblins. Whether you're strolling the haunted bricks or grabbing a late night bite, I have just the guide to haunting fun as Halloween approaches us.

Into the Wind Halloween Decoration

The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Boulder Theater: Thursday October 30th, 2025. Grab your popcorn and your fishnets because the madness has begun. Gather at the Boulder Theater for a night of yelling, singing, and dancing as a live shadow cast acts out this spooky classic.

Munchkin Masquerade: Friday, October 31st, 2025. Dress up (yes you) and grab your young kids or siblings to trick or treat throughout our downtown district. How can you say no to free candy?

Boulder Ghost Tours: Multiple dates available. Walk the haunted bricks of downtown and learn that our district isn't just sunshine and breweries. From the historical streets of downtown to the haunting glow of the Flatirons, downtown Boulder feels a touch haunted this season. Join storytellers who will send shivers down your back.

CU Homecoming Weekend: Friday, October 31st - Sunday, November 2nd, 2025. Spooky spirit meets school spirit. Expect crowded patios, alumni ghost sightings and costumed Ralphie fans. Let’s watch the Buffs spook the University of Arizona on Folsom Field. There will be plenty of food and drink specials all throughout downtown. Check out our Foodie Friday newsletter for the best food-related deals!

Emo Night at Jungle Tiki Bar:  Friday, October 31st, 2025. Come one, come all to Jungle’s 2nd Annual Emo Night. Expect drink specials, angst and rawrs. It was never a phase mom. $1 from every drink will be donated to Conscious Alliance. PS… check out their Halloween Tiki Pop Up on Thursday, October 30th, 2025. A fun collaboration with  Dearly Departed!

Pumpkins Carved with candles inside them

There is much to see and do before November arrives, and before you know it, it will be Thanksgiving. To get into the Halloween spirit this year, and every year, I watch The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands. To be honest, that is my favorite Halloween tradition, and pumpkin carving takes #2 on the list. This year, I'll be a pirate wandering the downtown streets, hitting some of Downtown's night spots. I can’t wait to see the bricks come alive with goblins and ghosts!

Edward Scissorhands

Until next time,

Fatima
