Three Things to Do This Weekend

Post Date: 06/28/2022

Hey Downtown!

One of my favorite things about Boulder is the endless activities and events that happen downtown every weekend. There’s never a shortage of things to do! I am especially excited to be out and about this weekend, and here are three things you can enjoy too!

Saturday brings the Boulder County Farmers Market to downtown’s civic area, one of my favorite events to go to on the weekends! I love the bustling scene of the market, as well as all of the local stands that make it what it is. Don’t forget that this is a producers only market, meaning the vendors are the farmers or producers of everything they are selling! What is your favorite thing to do at the Farmers Market?! Personally, I love to eat lunch at one of the many delicious food trucks that surround the market before shopping for local produce and freshly cut flowers to take home. Stands of plants, local honey and freshly baked bread and pastries are always tempting as well! If you are looking for a good way to spend a few hours on a Saturday, what better way to spend it than a stroll through the many unique stands while supporting local farmers, artisans and businesses?

A second weekend activity is a culinary night out with a date, friend or family members. Head on over to The Food Lab to test your culinary skills, learn something new and experience incredible food from different regions. Friday is Date Night Bordeaux at The Food Lab, offering a comprehensive cooking experience with a mouthwatering menu. If you already have Friday plans, don’t worry! Saturday brings another culinary adventure with an Evening in Israel, where you’ll be equipped to create and enjoy traditional (and delicious!) Israeli dishes. The Food Lab has so many different classes and culinary opportunities, so be sure to give their calendar a glance if you aren’t able to make it this weekend!

Wrap up your weekend with a Sunday on Pearl Street. Celebrate walk and bike month by taking a stroll on the bricks or walking along Boulder Creek (and maybe even dipping a toe in!). As always, grab lunch at any of the incredible restaurants found around downtown. My go-to spots lately have been Rosetta Hall or Organic Sandwich Company! Wind down your day with live music at The Corner Bar, playing from 2pm - 5pm. This Sunday, Victor Andrada will be performing, and you won’t want to miss this talented guitarist.

I hope you are able to join me in these fun downtown activities this weekend! Besides these, there are many more ways to adventure and explore around Boulder. Catch live music at The Velvet Elk Lounge, learn to fly fish, take kiddos to splash around in the Pop Jet Fountain or check out our events calendar for even more things to do this weekend!

See you around!

Alexandra
