Hey Downtown,
Looking for the perfect spot to take an Instagram-worthy photo? Downtown Boulder is the place for you! From stunning mountain views to historic city feels, downtown Boulder is filled with beautiful backdrops no matter the season. Grab a friend and your camera to check out these top five Instagrammable spots!
1. The Rooftop of Avanti Boulder
With a gorgeous view of the Flatirons and the Pearl Street Mall, the rooftop of Avanti Boulder is one of the best places for a photoshoot! Order an aesthetic drink such as the Frosé, made with Pink Whitney vodka, rosé, lemon, raspberry purée and simple syrup. Their deck, decorated with lots of comfy couches and pillows, is open all year-round. You can snap that photo in any season and for any reason!
2. The Happy Place Mural
Whether your happy place is cheersing a drink with friends, scoring the perfect pair of kicks or backbending on a yoga mat, it can be found in downtown Boulder. Share your downtown love with friends by snapping a photo in front of the Happy Place Mural, found at the southwest corner of 14th and Pearl Street, across from OAK at Fourteenth. Tag @downtownboulder and use #BoulderHappyPlace to share your downtown happy place with the Boulder community!
3. Outside the Boulder Theater
Take a photo outside of the historic Boulder Theater, which sports some of the finest (and oldest) art deco architecture in Colorado. Located in the heart of downtown, this theater offers a vintage photo backdrop with its colorful marquee and murals that have been preserved since 1906. Many events are also held inside the Boulder Theater, including concerts, comedy shows and film viewings. Check out their calendar to stay up to date on the current happenings!
4. Corrida Rooftop
For more stunning rooftop views, make a reservation to dine at Corrida. Indulge in an upscale restaurant experience and snap some date night photos from their balcony. If you visit in the winter, be sure to dine in their gorgeous Alpenglobes. And to finish off the picture-perfect evening, order the Charcutería, a charcuterie board including 24-month Serrano ham, six-month Manchego cheese, iberico salami and chorizo, lonza and house bread.
5. Benches on the 1200 block
Dressed up to go shopping in downtown Boulder? Snap a shot on one of the iconic wooden benches along the 1200 block of the Pearl Street Mall. Whether the picture is framed with frosty Flatirons or colorful spring tulips, the benches make for a perfect year-round photo-op. And don’t forget to check out the over 80% locally-owned businesses while visiting downtown!
