2024 Employee Appreciation Week Daily Activities
The following fun opportunities are for downtown Boulder Employees only or employees of businesses who are members of the Downtown Boulder Partnership. Employees can pick up stickers from the Visitor Information Center Tuesday, May 28 through Sunday, June 9 from 10 am - 8 pm daily.
Tuesday, June 4: Employee Wellness Day!
This is the time to treat yourself right! You work hard and we've organized some relaxation time to honor that. Come and go as you like during this open-house-style event.
11 am - 1 pm, Boulder County Courthouse Lawn (1300 Block)
We will host two yoga classes* from Yoga Pearl, 15-minute chair massages from Symmetry360 Massage, and relaxation-oriented samples from Rebecca's Herbal Apothecary. *Yoga classes: 11:30 am - 12 pm is a Brain Break Class and 12:15 pm - 1 pm is a Mini-Flow. Please bring your own yoga mat, there will be a limited number available the day of.
Event participants from businesses who are current Downtown Boulder Partnership (DBP) members will be eligible to enter our prize drawing onsite.
Wednesday, June 5: Office Olympics & Happy Hour
The thrills, laughs and energy keep bringing teams back year after year.
3 pm - 4 pm, Boulder County Courthouse Lawn (1300 Block) and 4 pm - 5 pm, Happy Hour
Get your team of 6 organized and compete for the annual Office Olympics trophy! Despite the name, Office Olympics isn't just for office workers, but features minute-to-win-it style games for all employees to participate in. After the Olympics teams are invited to join us from 4 - 5 pm for a happy hour at The Post Chicken & Beer!
Team registration is open!
Teams must register before May 31.
Thursday, June 6: Time to Play, Ride and Taste
It's time for fresh air, sunshine and movement. Come and go as you like during this open-house style event.
11 am - 1 pm Boulder County Courthouse Lawn (1300 Block) and 13th & Spruce Boulder BCycle Station
There is fun to be had with a 3 hole frisbee golf course and Gelato Boy! Take a work break and join us on the lawn ... we'll provide the frisbees.
Additionally, Boulder BCycle is hosting two guided rides from their station at 13th and Spruce. This is a great opportunity to learn how the bikes work and even better ... get outside! The first ride is from 11:15 am - 11:45 am. The second ride is from 12:15 pm - 12:45 pm. RSVPs are required by Wednesday, June 5 - please visit here to reserve your spot. The Savory Spice Shop is hosting a tasting with options to create scrumptious appetizers and flavor-filled meals with fresh herbs and spices. Show your sticker to taste and save 10%.
Thursday, June 6: Member Employee Appreciation, Postino's Wine Tasting
We appreciate our members, and the employees who make the magic happen!
5:15 pm - 6:15 pm at Postino's Boulder
Employees of businesses who are current members of Downtown Boulder Partnership are eligible for this event. Enjoy a Postino's wine flight from their seasonal Wine Club selections! You will learn tasting notes and get to experience some amazing property wines from Postino!
Seating is limited and requires reservations. Only two employees per business are eligible to participate. We will waitlist additional employees. Please RSVP before Wednesday, June 5.
Friday, June 7: Downtown Concert
Pearl Street Pop-up Concert with Daes hosted by Cultural Caravan., 12 pm - 2 pm in front of the Boulder Book Store.
Additionally, downtown employees are invited to experience complimentary concert tickets during Cultural Caravan's June Festival (June 6 - 16). Get the code here.
