Jenna and Darren Slattery’s journey to Boulder began with a sunny January visit to see their son at CU Boulder. Coming from Marblehead, Massachusetts, they were instantly captivated by the city and the unique blend of university energy and residential charm. They immediately thought to themselves How do we get out here? Eight years later, Boulder has become home, and downtown has become the perfect place to bring their dream to life.

Seeing an opportunity for elevated fashion and an affordable price point, the Slatterys opened Bobbles & Lace in April 2024 along Pearl Street’s East End. The space is home to more than a boutique, it’s a full-service styling experience designed to make women of all ages (15–90!) feel confident, beautiful and empowered. Jenna and her team of stylists do more than just sell clothes, they provide styling, guidance and personalized attention, helping each guest take the guesswork out of looking their best without breaking the bank. From everyday outfits to special events, the boutique offers high-quality pieces, including what they call the best-fitting denim on the planet, tailored to match each customer’s unique shape and style.

Bobbles & Lace is also a community hub. Guests can schedule a Girls’ Night Out with five or more friends to enjoy bubbly, light bites, exclusive 15% discounts, and hands-on styling sessions. Whether it’s a book club, birthday celebration, work friends, pickleball group, bachelorette party, or pre-concert gathering, Bobbles & Lace turns a shopping trip into a memorable experience full of fun, connection and laughter.

For Jenna and Darren, the joy comes not just from helping women look great, but from building relationships and fostering a sense of community. They love meeting locals, welcoming tourists, and creating a space where everyone feels seen, supported and stylish.
