After Work with Gelato Boy

While living abroad in Italy, Bryce Licht fell in love with two things: gelato and a girl (now his wife), Giulia.  Lucky for Bryce, not only did he woo Giulia he actually convinced her to move to Boulder! Lucky for us, the two found a passion in gelato and hundreds of test batches and thousands of tasting spoons later something magical happened.  Bryce and Giulia are the proud creators and owners of Gelato Boy. With two locations on Pearl Street (on the mall and west end), Gelato Boy is the perfect place for a delicious frozen treat.

When we finish up at our shops, we often stay downtown on or near Pearl St. If it’s been a long day, we’ll stop in for a quick espresso at Ozo, so we have energy to keep up with the kids. Another good option for coffee is Boxcar Coffee Roasters on the East End

If it’s in season, we never miss the Boulder County Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings. There’s no better place to take the kids, grab some food, and buy ingredients for our gelato.

When the farmers' market isn’t an option, we’ll head to Pizzeria Alberico. It's one of our favorite spots downtown. So far, it’s the best pizza we’ve had outside of Naples, and the kids love the budino.

If we don’t have the kids with us, we go to Hapa for sushi and drinks every chance we get!
