Girls' Day with Island Farm

The name Island Farm comes from a favorite east coast island, Martha’s Vineyard. Inspired by the sea, the store's story began with venturesome buying trips, seeking out great little hole in the wall antique shops, flea markets, dusty farmers' attics, yard sales and global trade shows, searching for inspiring artistry married with nostalgia. When Megan first moved to Boulder, she spent an evening walking down Pearl Street and stopped in at Island Farm. There was such an instant connection and kinship, that she knew this was a place she needed to be a part of...and the rest is history.

For the ultimate girls' day, of course we love to start out at Island Farm! This is a perfect mid-way spot along Pearl Street so you can head in any direction and find fabulous stops along the mall.

I like to start at Wonder for a fresh juice pick-me-up before I browse my favorite shopping spots. For a mid-day snack, I love to see what Dedalus Wine has on their daily menu - their sandwiches are amazing!

I have to stop in at SmithKlein Gallery - I think they offer some of the best art in Boulder. A sweet treat is mandatory, so a fresh scoop of Blueberry Marscopone Gelato from Gelato Boy is a must! All of us Island Farm girls are big fans of T/ACO. We love celebrating Taco Tuesday at the community table, or sitting outside on the patio when the weather is nice. I can't get enough of the fresh guacamole and coin margaritas - best in town!

There are so many great shops along Pearl! If I'm heading to the East End, I love stopping in at Weekends, Bliss, Two Sole Sisters. A day out with the girls is a perfect excuse to splurge on spa treatments at the St Julien Hotel and Spa. Their oxygen facials or deep tissue massages are exactly what I need after a long day of retail therapy. In the evening, I love to see who's playing at Band on the Bricks or peruse the Boulder County Farmers Markets.
