Your Guide to the World Cup Final in Downtown Boulder

Tag: Boulder

Hello, downtown Boulder!

The World Cup is more than just a few soccer matches. It’s a global event that brings people together for the love of the sport and community. I’ve been following along closely and was cheering Mexico on until their tragic loss. There’s still hope for them in 2030, but regardless of who you’re rooting for, the final match will take place this Sunday, July 19, at 1 p.m. It’s your last chance to partake in World Cup festivities, and downtown Boulder is the perfect place to be.

Every match day deserves a great bite. Fuel up before the game with delicious food from downtown’s many restaurants, cafés, and local favorites.

Since Spain is headed to the final match, consider grabbing food at Corrida, a Spanish-inspired steak restaurant that has a rooftop patio with an amazing view of the Flatirons. Enjoy some wood-fired steak, seafood, and handcrafted drinks. Another option you could check out is Gemini, a restaurant that serves tapas and dinner. The menu takes inspiration from cuisines found in Barcelona and San Sebastian.

Whether you’re getting some lunch before the game or a celebratory dinner after the match is over, there are plenty of options for every fan.

Now, the exciting part is actually watching the World Cup. Avanti is showing both matches on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. What better way to watch the match than with some friends and other fans? Join fellow soccer fans at Avanti for a drink, great company, and an exciting match-day atmosphere.

No matter who wins, you’re going to need a treat after! Celebrate your team’s win or soften the blow of a loss with some ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s or Lindsay’s Boulder Deli at Häagen-Dazs. If you’re not in the mood for ice cream, check out our Downtown Sweets Trail, a full list of bakeries and candy shops that you can explore.

The next World Cup won’t come around until 2030, so grab your jerseys and go all-out to celebrate this weekend in downtown Boulder!

See you next time,
