Happy Holidays, downtown!

Kate here…I am back to give you the 411 on all the ways to celebrate the holiday season downtown. From strolling along the Pearl Street Mall to enjoy the festive lighting and celebrating winter-themed events to last minute gift shopping opportunities and booking dinner reservations - it’s the most wonderful time of the year to Love the Local

St. Nick on the Bricks ended at this past weekend’s Freezie Fest (& Inaugural Cookie Crawl), but there is still time to hang out with Santa before he heads back to the North Pole! Stop by Rosetta Hall this Saturday, December 21st and Sunday, December 22nd for free Santa visits happening from 11 AM - 1:30 PM. Don’t forget your cameras and your wish lists!

Leave the stress of preparing a gourmet Christmas Eve dinner behind when you make a reservation downtown! Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar presents their Feast of Seven Fishes. Make a reservation ($85 per person) to enjoy a five-course, Italian-American inspired dinner including Fritto Misto, Little Gems, Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Branzino and a heavenly Tiramisu for dessert! Reservations are required for this holiday feast and seats are filling up quickly - make your reservation today. 

On the East End of Pearl Street, Michelin Star-rated, Frasca Food and Wine offers their take on Feast of Seven Fishes this Christmas Eve. Enjoy their annual seafood-based tasting menu ($215+ per person) and pair with wine from their 52 page long wine list

Check out the Two Hand Paperie x The New Local’s Gift Wrapping Station found at The New Local’s Annex now through Sunday, December 22nd. This station is open daily from 10 AM - 6 PM (Sundays, 10 AM - 5 PM) - prices vary depending on the gift.

Monday, December 30th, join Boulder JCC and Boulder County Center for Judaism on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall at 5: 30 PM for their annual Chanukah Menorah Lighting Ceremony. Come for the lighting ceremony and stay for a community celebration featuring music, snacks and Chanukah favors. 

Looking for more to do this winter season? Snow Much Fun AR Experiences provide unique winter visuals and interactive snow-themed games throughout each block of the Pearl Street Mall through January 31st. Using your smartphone, simply scan the QR code on the signage throughout the mall and interact with penguins in a snowglobe, dancing polar bears, a snowboarding game as well as a snowflake catching activity!
