Hello friends of Downtown Boulder!

As Valentine's Day rapidly approaches, you may need some inspiration on ways to show appreciation for the loved ones in your life. Fear no more, because I'm here to offer a brilliant suggestion... a Love the Local Valentine’s Day box is the perfect gift. These boxes are lovingly stuffed with goodies from Downtown Boulder businesses (where 80% are locally owned and operated). Show love to friends and family, while also showing love to local businesses.

The Love the Local gift boxes vary in sizes and cost with varying gifts in each. There is a large size box ($145), as well as a small size ($75) both which are filled with things like truffles, candles, spritzers, tea, and best of all - a list of date night ideas. (It can be difficult to think of date night ideas in general, but now more than ever given that we have all been stuck inside for almost a year.)

The great thing about these boxes is that they don't only make a great gift to give but also a great gift to keep for yourself! If you are feeling extra drained from the past few months, or shall I say past year, treat yourself to a Valentine’s Day gift. It is important to remember to appreciate ourselves just as much as we appreciate others, especially during trying times. Personally, I have deemed 2021 as the year for treating myself. The items in this box help you admire the little things, like sitting down with a cup of tea from the Boulder Dushanbe Tea House and journaling in stationary from Two Hands Paperie. Even better, decompressing in a bath while eating truffles from Piece, Love & Chocolate, next to a scented candle from Bliss

If you don’t want to commit to buying a full box of goodies, you can also choose a Taste of Downtown Boulder Box ($72 - $147). With these boxes, you have the option to choose up to four gift cards to one of the participating Downtown Boulder restaurants. A Bite of Boulder cookbook is included which brings the flavors of Downtown Boulder to your own kitchen. If you are accustomed to living in oversized sweats and you can’t be bothered to get dressed and go out anywhere (like me), this is a particularly helpful addition. In the chance that you do feel like going out and getting out of your house, a Downtown Boulder restaurant guide is also included. I am personally trying to explore different downtown restaurants, so make it a new year’s activity to go through the guide and try a restaurant you haven’t been to before. For a current list of restaurant hours and additional information, visit here.

There are a limited number of boxes and pre-orders are only open until January 31st. If your interest is sparked, you can find more details or place an order on lovethelocalboxes.com.

Talk Soon,

Ally
