Each person will get 5-7 needles and be instructed into a restful yoga pose with a Lung Meridian focus to help your body adjust to the fall.

Why acupuncture is important for Fall:
We have successfully entered autumn and this is the time of year to slow down, take stock of your health, and nourish your body. When the seasons change, we need to dip into our reservoir of strength to keep our systems healthy. The best way to build your reserves is to receive regular acupuncture and to take Chinese herbs. Our immune systems are vulnerable during this time. The temperatures drop, the local trees and plants release the fruit and flowers of summer and allergies are re-ignited. Our bodies need to prepare for the coming winter. So it is no surprise that this time of year in the Chinese calendar is related to the Lungs. Our Lungs are our first line of defense against any invading pathogens and they also regulate our Qi, our life force, our energy. In order to stave off sickness, we need to boost our Lung function. Pairing acupuncture with Yin yoga is a holistic way to bring our bodies into balance. Deep belly breathing, diaphragmatic breathing, and gentle, Yin-nourishing movements aid our Lungs in functioning at optimal levels. Add in a diet rich with soups, stews, and herbal tea, and you have the perfect recipe to set yourself up for colder weather. Autumn is a time for preparation, body-appreciation, and diving inwards to realize our body's innate ability to heal and rest.

About Rachel Muich:
I found acupuncture in a completely ordinary way. A dear friend suggested it to me after I spent the better part of a decade in and out of doctors' offices, only to be told nothing was wrong with me. I realized my health was more about education and listening to my own body…and not just to doctors. I will be an advocate to you with your own health goals and will empower you to make the best decisions for YOUR body. This medicine is truly remarkable. It provides a holistic, patient-centered approach to healing. Your health is in your hands just as much as it is in mine. I'm honored to be on your healing path with you.

Rachel was born and raised in the midwest and after a hard left turn out of owning a photography business, she moved to Colorado and found a career that allowed her to serve her community in a way that felt truly extraordinary. She's drawn to treating emotional and mental health balancing, hormone disharmonies, pain management, digestive upset, and sleep disturbances. She believes that Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine is truly for everyone.
