adidas TERREX will host the world premiere of its documentary “The Mirage,” starring adidas TERREX athlete and Pro ultrarunner Timothy Olson as he sets a groundbreaking new record for the Fastest Known Time (FKT) across the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). The inspirational film intimately follows Olson’s powerful physical, spiritual and emotional transformation as he achieves this feat in an unprecedented 51 days, 16 hours and 55 minutes. Supported throughout his journey by his coach and family, including his expecting wife and two children, Olson races against the clock from the U.S.-Mexico border to Canada (~2,650 miles) just in time to introduce his daughter to the world.
In this breathtaking film, we see Olson push his limits in body and mind as he reflected, accepted and shared difficult stories about addiction and the duality of coping with grief from a miscarriage to the joy of expecting a newborn, sure to leave viewers inspired by his perseverance and grit.
Immediately following the film, there will be a Q&A session hosted by the film’s director, Emmy-nominated filmmaker and renowned photographer Keith Ladzinski as well as Olson and his family.
Tickets are available now for $10 and all proceeds from the screening will benefit the Pacific Crest Trail Association and Return to Zero: HOPE: organizations that are near and dear to the Olson family.
Timothy Olson is an adidas TERREX ultrarunner and climate activist who notably holds the record for the FKT on the PCT. Crushing records across the country, Olson is a two-time champion and previous record holder of the Western States Endurance Run®, the world's oldest and most iconic 100-mile trail race.
Keith Ladzinski is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker and renowned photographer, most known for his work with the prestigious National Geographic.
Other panelist speakers include Krista Olson (wife), Bob Loomis (father-in-law), Debbie Loomis (mother-in-law) and Chris Alstrin (cinematographer). In addition, other attendees will include close friends of Olson’s, VIP members of the media and the wider outdoors and local communities.
